Someone said to me, early on in film school—I think it might have been Ozzie Morris— if you can photograph the human face you can photograph anything, because that is the most difficult and most interesting thing to photograph. If you can light and photograph the human face to bring out what’s within that human face you can do anything [laughs]. I know it sounds glib, but it is all the same. It’s all the way something affects you. That’s all there is. I really don’t know what to say [laughs].

R.I.P - MJ

...Stars Don't Die...
They say that some of the stars that you see overhead aren’t really there…
Their light takes million of years to reach us…
And all we are doing is looking into the past,
into a by gone moment when those stars could still shine…
“so what does a star do after it quits shining?”
I ask myself : “maybe it dies?”
“ oh no..” a voice in my head says…
“A star can never die. It just turns into a smile”.

Abbas Kiarostami - Quotes

Abbas Kiarostami (born June 22, 1940) :Abbas Kiarostami (born June 22, 1940) : “When I’m in the process of making a movie I’m not thinking about the finished result, and whether people have to see it once or more than once, and what the reaction to it will be. I just make it, and then I live with the consequences, some of which may not be as pleasant as I’d like! I know one thing, however. Many viewers may come out of the theater not satisfied, but they won’t be able to forget the movie. I know they’ll be talking about it during their next dinner. I want them to be a little restless about my movies, and keep trying to find something in them.”

Bruce Lee - Brandon Lee

Bruce Lee with his son Brandon Lee

86th Birthday - Norma Jeane Baker

 June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962...

“I believe everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you can appreciate them better when they are right. You believe lies so that you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together.”

How to Love a woman - Bob Marley

How to love a woman.
“You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.” -Bob Marley

Chaplin - Circus

...Charlie on the set of the Circus after a fire that destroyed a good portion of it...
The Circus was probably Charlie’s most difficult film to complete. There was so much turmoil going on in his life, including a divorce and the death of his mother Hannah, as well as numerous technical difficulties that caused delay after delay...

Nothing is permanent in this wicked world - not even our troubles.

Bruce Lee

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.
